We prepared our juices last night for today in hopes that today we would both be juicing. I had pie for breakfast. I just couldn't do it anymore. Damien found out I ate yesterday, because I blogged about it...I really didn't think he would read my blog!! Boy was I wrong...I no sushi :(
WELP it's official, juicing is not my jam. I'm so tired and just want to eat some food. Yesterday I stuck to the juice and went to the gym, which was possibly not the brightest idea, and I was famished and so tired. Today I mayyyy have mildly cheated (don't tell Damien :/). I made it to around 1:00 p.m. and I was at work and there is a stash of Halloween candy at work...it's not even the good Halloween candy, It's the Halloween candy you already go through like 100 times and then have the left over stuff you kind of pick at. I picked. I picked twice. I had a mini Mars bar and it was soooo freaking good that I went back for a mini Aero. I stopped there. Once I got home I had a couple fork fulls of rice with soy sauce and washed the fork promptly and put it was in the drawer. I wouldn't be so worried about him finding out except he said if I was good and stuck to the juices he would take me out for Sushi!! YUM!!! So, I'm being as good as a starving Stephanie can be so I can eat the world very very shortly. To wrap it all up, I'm not enjoying my juicing experience, I'm tired and my brain function is at a negative 5, my physical function is so bad i couldn't even open my jars of juice this morning. I guess we'll see how tomorrow goes, there has to be a light at the end of this juicing tunnel!!
I've jumped on the juicing train and today is day one! Me and D prepped our day of juices last night and it was actually pretty fun making a pulpy mess of the kitchen. I'm not juicing to lose weight or see the health benefits, I kind of just want to see what all the buzz is about. Since this weekend is Thanksgiving, and for some odd reason we're doing family Thanksgiving on Friday, we're only going to juice for a couple days and if it goes well re-start the adventure on Monday.
I'm not looking forward to not eating for the next couple days, but Damien's mom juiced for months and made it seem like a walk in the park. I'm almost positive I'll have a different experience, but who knows, maybe these nutrient packed juices will keep a gal full...I'm skeptical!!!
The talk of the town for the last week has been the god awful flood that poured itself all over Alberta. Luckily me and D are at the top of the hill, so the worst we had to deal with was being without electricity for a few days.
On the plus side school is done on Wednesday and Midterms are over on the 14th! I also got a new job as a wine rep today!!!! Very exciting. I have my first shift on Friday! Hopefully I can find my phone and be happy again.
Tonight me and Damien are going to watch the Bachelorette and go for a run!! I went to hot yoga last night with Nicole and it was the SHIT. I love hot yoga. I'll hopefully go again tomorrow night!! A little run tonight, yoga tomorrow night! Hopefully my knees don't give out, I haven't ran since the marathon!
On a lighter note, it's almost Friday! I am very excited for the weekend! I'm going to need a few cocktails, that's for sure! Last night after my prep class, I came home to the most amazing sight: Damien, sushi, and wine!! I had some yam tempura sushi with avocado on top! SO DELICIOUS. There were some cucumber rolls, California rolls, and Damien had some crazy rolls. He's more adventurous with his sushi. I do love that mayo/hot sauce they put on the volcano rolls! Mmm, another amazing sauce: Big Mac sauce. I could eat the shit out of a big mac right now, just for the secret sauce! While we're on the topic of fast food burgers with amazing secret sauces: Peter's Drive-In has the best burgers!!! These burgers are so huge, and have this amazing mayo-ish amazeballs sauce on them. Mouth watering goodness. Can you tell it's lunch time? Let's see how far this five dollars will get me...
Let me tell you a nice morning story. There once was a girl named Stephanie, who was jealous of all the kids at school who had braces and glasses. Why you may ask? I don't know, Stephanie was an odd child. Alright, cat's out of the bag...I'm Stephanie, and talking in the third person is hurting my brain! Long story short, I started wearing my friend's glasses and now my eyes are fucked. I have learned a valuable lesson from my childhood though: If my kid starts asking for glasses or braces I'm just going to give them to him/her. I'm going to make a great mother, and probably have the most spoiled brat of a child. Super. Can't wait.
I ordered contacts yesterday, because I have been wearing my last set of contacts for a month, and they're only supposed to last 2 weeks. My right contact has been fuzzy and going crazy, and I couldn't wait anymore, so I went to the optometrist hoping I could get a new set of contacts without renewing my prescription. False. I needed an eye exam. No biggy though. This morning I had an eye exam and purchased new contacts, and my eyes feel like one millionnn dollars!!
I don't understand why you can buy contacts online without a prescription, but through an optometrist you need a valid prescription. Maybe it's for insurance purposes. Maybe you can't submit contacts you purchased online to your insurance company. I'm going to get to the bottom of this! I'll submit the contacts I purchased through the optometrist and the ones I ordered online! MUAHA!!!
I had such a fun weekend! Friday was JT's birthday party at Hudsons, and we danced the night away! Saturday was Mel's parents' joint 50th birthday party! There were tequila shots, beer pong, flippy cup, and a lot of delicious food! Sunday night Me, Damien, and his mom went to Vin Room for tapas and WINE. So delicious. I thought tapas was like naan bread or pita that you put Indian food in, but that is false. I've seen Along Came Polly way too many times, and now I'm terrified of going out for Indian food, although it looks like fun!
Oh em gee, Damien went to the zoo with his family on the weekend and got me these adorable penguin earrings!! LOVE!!!! 
I just bought the best Dealfind ever!! You know it's going to be a great day when you get a 30 minute manicure, 60 minute pedicure, and 45 minute massage for $40.00! I actually had a credit on my Dealfind so it was for free!! I had purchased a Dealfind a few months ago for some laser facial procedure, but the business cancelled their contract with Dealfind, so I got my money back plus 10%! I was waiting for a pedicure Dealfind to pop up, but this one is a hundred times better!! Now I just have to wait until my feet are somewhat less disgusting from my marathon!
Last night me and Mel had a little wine night, and Dames came over for some True Blood Season 4 action!! True Blood Season 5 is so close!! June 10th if I recall correctly! We're going to our friend Brad's place to watch season 5, since he has HBO!!! HBO = FRIENDS!!
I found a cute bikini for the photo-shoot in a couple weeks! I've been trying to get to yoga as much as possible, so I have some sort of a decent body for this thang! Thank god for photoshop!! Hopefully I can get back to running next week, my legs are still kind of hurtin units at the moment!
Clearly I have a lot of really unrelated things to talk about today!! MY HAIR. I'm so confused with what I want to do with my hair lately!! I like having highlights in the summer, but when I look at pics of myself, I prefer myself with dark hair. CONUNDRUM (not just a tasty wine!) I booked an appointment with Aveda for highlights today, but I think I might cancel and dwell over what to do a little bit longer. Although...my boss seems to be out of town, which makes me want to ditch out early and get my hair done...DILEMMA.
I did not make it to work this morning! Whoopsies! Me and Mel got shit bombed last night for her bday partayyyy!! We went for dinner with her fam at Chicago Chophouse which was delicious! I got steak :) an 8oz tenderloin to be more exact. I obviously got the garlic mashed taters to go along with it!
Tonight me and dames are going to lobster fest at 1410!! Wine and lobster baby! Damien said he wants more drama in our relationship...who wants drama in a relationship??
Ooh I just finished watching Grey's Anatomy FINALLY!! Tears were shed, and floufy was looking at me with his worried cat eyes! My review for the Grey's Anatomy season finally: freaking phenomenal!!
I actually ran my marathon on the weekend! I really didn't think it was going to happen. Around the 33km mark I started dying a slow death. I had 3 of those power bar gels which were disgusting, but I think they worked! A nice man gave me a doughnut too which was nice! I spent all day in Damien's bed yesterday not moving, and there was ice cream involved!! White chocolate raspberry gelato to be more precise! Today my knees hurt, and my back, and I'm walking like there's a pole shoved up my ass. I'm pretty sure everyone who sees me thinks I had a wild night of bum sex! Note for future marathoners: The next day you will walk like you've had gnarly bum sex.
Tomorrow I'm going to eat lobster for the first time! Crazy that I haven't had lobster before...I wonder if it's fatty...haha I need to be good! It's bikini season!! Oooh me and Damien are going to get matching bathing suits for the summer!! It's about to get sexy!!
